Ways To Give To UACCM
UACCM Development staff is available to consult and assist in defining donor interest and insuring that the donor's intent is satisfied.
The UACCM Foundation accepts gifts of any size from donors year round. Donors can choose to designate their donation to a particular cause (i.e. scholarships, program areas, campus projects) or give to the annual fund. Annual fund donations are designated for projects by the Foundation Board of Directors. The Foundation can also accept gifts of equipment or materials on behalf of the college.
Cash (in the form of personal checks, credit cards, and bank drafts) is the most popular type of charitable gift the UACCM Foundation receives. Cash contributions may be tax deductible. Checks should be made payable to the UACCM Foundation and mailed to the UACCM Development Office at, 1537 University BLVD, Morrilton, AR 72110.
If you itemize deductions on your federal tax return, you may claim an outright gift of cash as a charitable contribution up to an amount equal to 50 percent of your adjusted gross income. Any deduction not usable in the first year can be carried over for up to five additional years or until it is completely used, whichever is first. You may wish to consult your accountant or tax adviser to determine the tax benefit of your gift.

A transfer of securities (stocks or bonds), held long term, to the UACCM Foundation allows you to make a gift and receive a charitable deduction equal to the full fair market value of the securities. You pay no capital gains tax on your gift and neither does the Foundation.
Please contact UACCM for assistance when transferring assets. You will want to donate the securities before selling the assets and then making a gift of the proceeds, as this may trigger a capital gains liability for you if the stocks are sold prior to a charitable transfer.
It may be possible to deduct the value of these securities at the time of the gift receipt up to 30 percent of your adjusted gross income. Any excess can be carried over for an additional five years if necessary.
You can give real estate as a current gift or a deferred gift (a retained life estate or gifts through your will). A current gift of real estate, held long-term, provides you with a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the gift, up to 30 percent of your adjusted gross income. If the real estate gift has an estimated value of $5000 or more, the gift must be appraised by an independent appraiser to determine the exact value of your deduction.
All gifts of real estate are first evaluated by the UACCM Foundation for marketability and potential environmental concerns. Before it can accept a gift of real estate, UACCM may ask that you supply detailed information on the property.

Letter of Intent
Gifts may be pledged to be paid over a period of time consistent with your financial situation. For all gifts, letters of intent are available, which state the form, schedule, and purpose of your gift. Click here to download the Letter of Intent.
To encourage employees to make charitable gifts, many corporations agree to match personal donations with an equal or greater corporate contribution. Rules about the type of gifts that companies will match (cash, stock, property) vary.
To initiate a matching gift, complete your company's matching gift form and send it along with your gift to the UACCM Foundation. UACCM will complete the form, certifying that it has received your gift and is eligible to receive matching gifts under your company's guidelines. We will then forward the form to your company. After verifying the eligibility of the donor and UACCM, the company sends a check to us.
You should check with your company's personnel department to see if your gift qualifies for a corporate match.
Honorary or Memorial gifts
A gift in memory or in honor of a colleague, relative or friend is a generous and thoughtful way to recognize a person's life and accomplishments.
When an honorary or memorial gift is made, UACCM notifies the honoree or others, and the gift is administered as the contributor specifies. To make an honorary gift, send a letter detailing the purpose of your gift as well as the name and address of the honoree. For memorial gifts, your letter should list the honoree's name and the name and address of those you want to be notified of the gift. Click here to make your honorary or memorial gift online today. The Foundation holds two major fundraisers annually:
Just Desserts is held in February. Individuals and restaurants from all over the 6 county service area donate desserts and patrons are treated to a night of unlimited indulgence. There is live entertainment, a silent auction, and giveaways. Donors may support this event through corporate sponsorship, item donations, or event ticket purchases.
The Links for Learning Golf Tournament is held in May at the Morrilton Country Club. Donors may support this event through corporate sphonsorships or team entries.
The Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which makes most gifts tax deductible. The Foundation accepts gifts according to the rules outlined in the UACCM Foundation Gift Acceptance Policy and adheres to the Association of Professional Fundraisers Code of Ethics and Donor Bill of Rights. A portion of all donations will be used to further advancement efforts on behalf of the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton.
