The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Foundation’s tenth-annual ‘Just Desserts’ fundraiser is just weeks away. The sweets-filled fund raiser will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 in the UACCM Plaza from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm.

‘Just Desserts’ provides its attendees with an impressive selection of all you can eat desserts that are guaranteed to satisfy even the biggest sweet tooth. All of the handmade desserts are donated by area bakeries and restaurants, as well as UACCM faculty, staff, and Foundation Board members. A gourmet coffee bar will be available for those who would like to wash down their chocolate cake, gooey brownie, or fresh baked apple pie with a good, hot cup of joe. There will be a delicious selection of choices available for everyone including a section for sugar-free deserts, as well as a selection of savory snacks including Petit Jean meat and cheese trays.

Strooling Table The event will also have entertainment and door prizes will be drawn for throughout the evening. In addition to all of the eating and entertainment, ‘Just Desserts’ will have both a silent auction and a raffle auction where everyone has a chance of winning the bid. During the “One Sweet Deal” raffle auction, tickets can be purchased for $1 each and placed into a drop box by each auction item. Beginning at 7:30, one winning ticket will be drawn for each item. If you find yourself wanting to take a dessert or two home with you, all remaining dessert items will be auctioned at 7:45 p.m.

UACCM is currently soliciting sponsors for ‘Just Desserts” 2012. Sponsorships are available in a number of levels. Tickets to the event are $8.oo for adults, $3.00 for children ages six to twelve. All children five and under will be admitted for free.

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor of “Just Desserts,” call Mary Clark at (501) 977-2011. Advance tickets will be available soon at the UACCM University Bookstore at the corner of Highway 9B and University Boulevard, and tickets will also be sold at the door on the day of the event.
