Home Foundation Just Desserts Fundraiser

 

The eighth annual Just Desserts fundraiser for the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Foundation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, in the UACCM Plaza and adjoining courtyard.

Just Desserts will feature all-you-can-eat desserts donated by area bakeries and restaurants, as well as UACCM faculty, staff, and Foundation Board members. There will also be a gourmet coffee bar, a sugar-free dessert bar, and a table of savory snacks including meat and cheese trays, assorted crackers and other appetizers.

Auctions

Silent Auction

The silent auction will start at 5:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. During that time you will be able to view dozens of displayed items and write down bids for the items you would like. The highest bid for any particular item at the close of the auction will be deemed the winner. Persons that are not in attendance when the winning bids are announced will be contacted via telephone. Chance Auction

The chance auction will start at 5:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. During that time you will be able to buy auction tickets for $1 each. Then, browse through dozens of displayed items, each with its own drop box, and donate as many tickets as you wish for the items you would like. At the conclusion of the auction, one winning ticket will be drawn for each Chance Auction item. Persons that are not in attendance when the winning bids are announced will be contacted via telephone. For more information, see the official rules.

Live Auction

A live auction will be held in the 6:00 hour for a few select items. There will also be an impromptu live auction towards the end of the event for remaining desserts.

Door Prizes

Door prizes will be awarded every half hour, and remaining uncut desserts will be auctioned off by Miller at 7:40 p.m.

Look forward to a wide variety of items including: hunting and sports equipment, sports memorabilia, office furniture, gift baskets, home accessories, personal care products, gift certificates, and service-related gift certificates (oil changes, tanning visits, dinner certificates, etc.

Donate a dessert or auction item. If you would be willing to bring a dessert item or if you, your department, or your business, would like to donate auction items or baked goods, you may print, complete, and mail a Donor Request Form or contact Mary Newsome (501-977-2044), Kristi Strain (501-977-2085), or Mary Clark (501-977-2011). When thinking about auction items, get creative. Showcase your unique talents (sewing, crocheting, cross-stitching, painting, pottery, photography, etc.) by donating a homemade one-of-a-kind item.
