Academic Advisor

Academic Honors
Full-time students who have completed at least 12 college-level credit hours and earned a grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
Academic Probation
When a student’s grade point average has dropped below a 2.00 for the semester, the student will receive notification from the Registrar’s Office that he or she has been placed on Academic Probation for the semester. This will be denoted on a students transcript. Being placed on academic probation will affect financial aid awards.

The Registrar’s Office will notify the student of this situation, and it will appear on the students transcript. Being placed on academic suspension will also place the student on financial aid suspension, meaning that the student is ineligible for financial aid until returned to good standing.
Accreditation
An official endorsement or approval to an institution of learning by an official review board of the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools after meeting specific requirements.
Adding/Dropping Classes
Classes may only be added prior to the start of a semester during pre-determined registration dates. Classes dropped prior to the start of the semester will result in a full refund of tuition. The last day to drop a class with a partial refund and the last day to withdraw are printed in the Academic Calendar. Adding and dropping a course requires the student to complete the Add/Drop form available in the Registrar’s Office.
Admission
After all application documents have been received by UACCM, students receive an acceptance letter from the College. At this point, a student is considered “admitted” and may register for classes.
Admissions Counselor
An Admissions Counselor helps students decide which course of study to pursue and determines the documents required for admission to the College. This is the student’s contact until an actual advisor is assigned and the student is enrolled in courses.
Admissions Office
Student records are maintained by the Admissions Office, located in the University Center, until the student is enrolled in courses. The file is then transferred to the Registrar’s Office. The Admissions Office will contact each student regarding the documents required for admission to the College and will assign an academic advisor.
Admission Requirements
Applying for admission to UACCM requires every student to submit an application for admission, immunization records, a high school transcript, and entrance exam scores (ACT, COMPASS). Applicant files will not be processed for admission until all documents have been received.
